Terms of sale

1. Purpose

These terms of sale govern the purchase of a license for Souvenir, a web application for rereading a WhatsApp chat export (.zip file, media included) in the browser. Any purchase constitutes acceptance of these terms.

2. Seller

The sale is made by Lemon Squeezy, LLC (lemonsqueezy.com), acting as the merchant of record. The sales contract is concluded between you and Lemon Squeezy, which handles billing, the collection of applicable taxes, the issuing of receipts, and the processing of refunds. The Souvenir application is published by Souvenir Chat (see the legal notice).

3. Product

The license gives access to the Souvenir application. It includes:

• full access to the reading application;
• an unlimited number of conversations and media;
• activation on 3 devices or browsers, with each activation valid for 90 days and renewable simply by entering the key again.

Conversations and media are processed exclusively locally, in your browser: they are never sent to or stored on a server (see the privacy policy).

4. Price and payment

The price is the one displayed on the site and on the checkout page at the time of purchase, inclusive of taxes where taxes apply. It is a one-time payment, with no subscription. Payment is made online through Lemon Squeezy, using the payment methods offered on the order page.

5. Delivery

Immediately after payment, your license key is sent to you by email by Lemon Squeezy. You activate it on the Activate my license page, which opens access to the application on the device used.

6. Refunds

You may request a full refund of your purchase within 14 days of payment, no questions asked. To do so, write to us at souvenirchat.contact@gmail.com or reply to the receipt email sent by Lemon Squeezy, which will process the refund as merchant of record. This guarantee is in addition to the statutory consumer rights of your country of residence, which remain fully applicable.

7. Technical requirements

Using Souvenir requires a recent browser and an export file generated by WhatsApp (the "Export chat" feature, with or without media). The publisher cannot be held responsible for limitations inherent to WhatsApp (in particular the cap on the number of exported messages) or for the quality or integrity of the export files produced by WhatsApp.

8. License terms

The license is personal and non-transferable. It allows you to use the application for your own needs, within the permitted number of activations. Reselling the key, sharing it publicly, or using the application to power a third-party service is not permitted.

9. Liability

Souvenir is a reading tool: it does not modify your export files and keeps no copy of them. It is your responsibility to keep your original export files. The publisher makes every effort to keep the service available, but cannot guarantee uninterrupted availability.

10. Independence from WhatsApp

Souvenir is an independent service, not affiliated with WhatsApp LLC or Meta Platforms, Inc. "WhatsApp" is a trademark of WhatsApp LLC.

11. Governing law

These terms are governed by the law of [TO BE COMPLETED: publisher's country of registration], without prejudice to the mandatory consumer-protection provisions of your country of residence. The sale itself is also governed by Lemon Squeezy's terms.
